Directory Services and LDAP Expertise
Our Track Record:
We watched the maturation of LDAPv3 (and its subsequent productization in the late 1990's) with great interest and speculated about the useful connections to be made between PeopleSoft and LDAP-enabled directory services. This led us to a unique opportunity with PeopleSoft in 1999. Nulli Secundus defined, architected, and co-developed the PeopleSoft Directory Interface (PDI). Looking back, it's clear to see PDI as foreshadowing for modern provisioning.
We know LDAP and directory services inside out, and have built our business upon sharing that expertise. It is our understanding of directory services from its standards foundation that sets up apart from other services providers. And it is this deep understanding that contributes to our excellence with LDAPv3 implementations from various vendors.
Why We Focus Here:
LDAP-enabled directory services are a fundamental component of a complete enterprise identity management (IdM) strategy. Our customers simply expect that we offer the knowledge and skills to help them make sound design decisions with this technology.
At this point on the current technology maturation curve, some identity products abstract directory services from direct visibility. Consequently, this critical service layer may fade from focus. Our experience repeatedly demonstrates that integrity of the data foundations must always be paramount. Our customers benefit from having an identity integrator who knows what a quality directory services foundation should provide and how it is crafted.
